I create abstract art by combining rich earthy colors, deep texture, and whimsical elements. With this combination of components, I am able to achieve dimensional work that pleases the eye by being distinctive and contemporary.
A conceptual thought is usually what gets me going; many times the title is there before the picture even begins. Staying loose is important to my work and helps create elements of surprise, like when colors run together and make combinations that you could never plan on. A pencil line that takes a unique turn and changes the whole idea behind the painting. I love thinking different and while the sky doesn’t always have to be blue or does the grass need to be green.
